How to duplicate items!
Note: Unconfirmed whether it will work in multiplayer or not. Singleplayer Alpha, works. :D

Place the items to be duplicated into a box/chest
Save and return to Main Menu.
Return to your game, take the items from the box/chest
 hold alt and press f4 to crash the game.
reboot and return to your save, you will still have the
items in the box but they will also be in your inventory....

That's also a great way to forget over your terrain, save a build, load, bomb to hell with TNT, crash, re-load, land overlap. If the craters were deep enough the buildings would spawn over them and the craters would remain.
