I just made a new world, barely got coal before the sun went down, made a little cave to hide in.

Had to get up and do stuffs so I closed minecraft, when I opened the world I was inside a block.

So I died and lost my stuff but, EVERYTHING IS BACK.  EVERY BLOCK I REMOVED HAS RESPAWNED, AND EVERY BLOCK I PLACED (And that cave I was talking about) IS GONE. ASDFGHJKL

God damnit, Minecraft is being stupid for me. I try to play it, and it opens for a fraction of a second, and nothing happens. When I try the in browser version, my browser closes.
Edit: when I try it on steam, it says 'failed to launch minecraft'

That happened after I updated Java. loving pisses me off.
