MineCraft Diary: Day 1

Today I was awoken by the sounds of animals.
I was dazed, and didnt know where I was, and very confused, but I managed to build my house before too much happened.
Then at nightfall I heard these weird noises and looked out my window and saw a gigantic spider. I was so afraid I hid in a corner and to make it worse this weird thing with this weird look exploded blowing up my humble abode
And I was attacked by a skeleton and its arrows. And did I mention the zombies?
But they all burned just after dawn
Wherever the hell I am, its sure as strange as all hell

I've been terraforming the land in my valley. I set up shop in what appears to be tundra, it's a steppeland, mostly flat with some hills surrounding on each side, and a beach on two of the sides. I've been making the terrain more consistent around the area, both to satisfy my OCD and to make travel and construction easier. Also, set up a quarry, mined right into a cave.
