So I didn't know animals ruin crops and planted a huge field of wheat so I could make a cake and went into caves to find some iron for buckets for milk.
When I return, my garden is overrun by sheep, pigs, and cows, and more than half of my wheat was destroyed.

Found this awesome place right beside my spawn. Oh, and from here you can see a Björk tree. (I do not know what it's called in english (I do not even know if these grow there,) this is the swedish name.)

My house is under it.

And i made a wall to make it cooler. (the awesome place is behind me)

Minecraft Beta 1.2_01 (less bugs, more framerates)

This update affects both the client and the server, but the server update isn’t mandatory. I highly suggest updating, though.

* Fixed various blocks acting really weird when placed (rails, torches, and more)
* Optimized performance
* Added a new painting that we forgot to include yesterday
* Reduced spawn rates a bit
* Fixed a whole pile of lighting bugs
* No more ghosts at night
* Added a temporary fix to get rid of chunk visibility errors

The last one is interesting.. The problem with chunk visibility errors was that for some reason the “dirty” flag on chunks and the list of “dirty chunks” got out of synch. There wasn’t time to try to do a proper fix today, so I just made the client check a couple of dirty chunks per frame to make sure they’re in the list.

So until we fix it proper, you might get invisible chunks, but they will fix themselves after a second or two, usually way before you even get close to them.

i made a random dirt fort out in the wilderness to see new changes and w/e
take note i started a new game a few days back
and i was out there for like 3 nights
then i decided to go out searching for i don't know what
i see fire in the distance and im like WTF?
apparently there was a magical surface lava flow that caught a forest on fire, burnt like 70 loving trees
amazing fire
i also got like 21403812 pieces of meat/feathers/leather because animals kept running into it

also i found like 3 giant pumpkin patches on top of each other
