He did a great job on the new textures for 1.2.

This is probably a stupid question, but, where do I find ".minecraft"? I see only the Minecraft program in My Documents, and I did a search though all files and folders for ".minecraft" and the Wizard found nothing.

>Run
>appdata
>Roaming
>.minecraft

Assuming your in Windows, press the windows key, and the r key at the same time. The type %appeara%/.minecraft do what kevdude said

Not really a stupid question. Took me a while to find my .minecraft folder.

Also you can go into Control Panel(I think) and show hidden folders

Ugh, I must be some kind of idiot, there's no appdata in Run or Search.

After several attempts with symbols and stuff, I've found an %appdata%, there's a .minecraft but no Roaming before it.

Roaming is only there sometimes. Make a copy of the saves folder and delete .minecraft. Start up Minecraft again and put your saves folder in there. I made a shortcut to my .minecraft, helps

I didn't have any saves, so I didn't need to copy anything. I'll come back and post again if it still gives me problems.

I use the custom Red Squid textures found somewhere on the Minecraft forums. It gives it better eyes, a realistic beak and suckers on the tentacles while still feeling default-like.

Man, is the Minecraft Wiki always a bitch to load?

No, did my suggestion work?
