1) You dug forward but didn't run away.
2) You dug straight down. Self explanatory.
3) You blindly walked forward without taking a glance and being careful.
4) You mined upwards into the ceiling. This requires a complicated technique of sorts to protect yourself from this without blocking the source of lava, leading me to my fifth possible action:
5) You didn't block the lava. Or you didn't have anything to block it.

I keep getting "SHA1 digest error for colud.png" when trying to install adventurecraft.

It's night right now and zombies and creepers and skeletons(oh my) pop out around every corner. :(
But it's okay if I die I used nbtedit to edit my spawn.

If your having trouble playing Adventurecraft:
Backup your .minecraft Folder
Reinstall minecraft
Click the "install" in your adventurecraft folder

All this does it makes sure your running a pure minecraft.
When your done you can override the .minecraft folder with the backup
Or you just entirely forgot to click on the install program.

Thats all I can think of to fix errors.

EDIT: An easy way of re-installing minecraft is by deleting the .version
