Don't do the shade to tint on each block. The tiling may appear nice, but overall it looks very crappy. Otherwise, I like the overall "cartoony" smooth/glossy appearance.

Finally finished uploading the Tectonicus Map of my world... 10mb world, 206mb map, all day to upload. I hate my connection :(

Now off to maybe actually play it!

I don't really like my textures to blend together, but of course that's just my personal prefrence.

Day 1: Cleared the area of trees and... well... trees. I sailed in late in the afternoon so I guess it put me at a disadvantage.

I have a rudimentary campsite set up. The island seems uninhabited by strange creatures like many others; a good place to found an empire.
Empire or no, at least I don't have to sleep in my boat again.

On the downside, the island does seem to have a lot of pigs. They're rather annoying.

I'M SPERGIN OUT MAAAAN

Yeah I'll probably post an entry every couple of days so you can see how it goes. It'll also be interesting to look at the progress. I'll save an entry every Minecraft night.

What I have now:
- Iron tools and some spare iron from a teeny tiny cave I found earlier
- Some coal, 22 torches (now placed around the work area)
- A load of dirt, glass and gravel; a bit of sand

Note that this is more for building than survival. It's on peaceful. Cue booing.

Constructed the retaining walls for the first level area today; decided to light them with some Jack'O'Lanterns.

Maybe not every day... too much effort. The days feel really short to me nowadays.
