Seeds guarantee the same map if the same seed is entered. This still allows for random worlds, but if you enter seed 2 it'll be the same as my seed 2 and any time anyone enters seed 2.

I don't think you can if you made your map before the 1.3 update.

Just remember it when you make a new world.

What if you don't enter a seed though, If i make a world without a seed can I see the seed later?

Hey after a while my minecraft screen goes black and anything i did in a world goes away except everything in my inventory and i re downloaded .minecraft and it still does it help?
