Mouse smoothing. Imagine, basically, that your mouse is on ice and doesn't stop exactly where you want it to but will slide past your intended destination proportional to how fast you were moving before you stopped your mouse.

Personally, I think it's one of the gayest, most annoying and unhelpful features in any video. FPSes that have it piss me off so much.

Use "Secret" as seed and get giant smooth mountains.
Use "New World" as seed and get awesome mountain(s).

Holiday-gifted computers (yes, whole compies) can play this well. Trust me, my sister gave it to me on new years (new years = main celebrating and present giving in russia) and it runs MC well.

Is the crash a black screen and it just freezes? If so that can be fixed by setting render distance to anything other than Far
