but first regular spiders should kill friendly mobs likes pigs and whatnot.

New mob(s) and block-

Sometimes you will find a big birds nest perched atop a mountain with baby birds and a giant one (usually in or around it by 10 blocks) and you can break the nest for some stuff. That stuff(?) can be combined with sticks to make a bird nest block. Placing a birds nest block attracts small birds which can be killed for something that I am not sure off yet. Also, the giant bird drops sticks, birds nest material, or raw pork.

Ofc, you could have rare magpie birds:

what about giant boulders
and by destroying said boulder you find a dirt cave, and in that dirt cave are ants/spiders and items(food items, maybe some unsmelted ore,etc) almost like a dungeon(except they dont spawn 10 times). and by getting to the end of the cave you find the queen ant/spider/whatever and kill it, and by doing so you get items like a golden apple, cake, or something useful like stuffloads of string and/or things likes minecarts and other things.

you know what would be cool, is if you could find 'creeper nesting grounds' underground somewhere, and they have blocks with the creeper texture surrounding it, and then maybe a mother creeper thats larger than the rest :P

Bold- I was actually thinking about that seeing as it looks more like hay, and hay could be put in a nest. But I wasn't really sure If I could get away with it xD

Which is why I came up with this in school: The Fireplace.

It's basically like burning netherrack except that there's no risk in going to the Nether on Easy+ and that it burns forever, unlike logs, even though it uses a log in the recipe which I'm still not sure about. I'm thinking a piece of coal on bottom with flint and steel in the middle, that might make more sense.
