I think it has to do with distance to the surface. In a completely closed home on the surface, things kept waking me up. I moved my bedroom underground and had no problems after that.

Mobs are near  your house and pop into your bed to rape you. YES i know these things!

that and i never sleep near my second dungeon i trapped i was making a trap for one and came across ANOTHER cave i live in a cave so i was fine with it in till i found another dungeon

The area around your bed has to be properly lit.  If its dark enough to allow mobs to spawn, then they will always wake you up when you sleep.

I'm in a 5x5 fully lit hut with a bed.

only got woken up when i forgot to put on a door
