This is less than 5% the size of a minecraft map made by somebody with waaay too much time.

Not much time at all actually.

The Earth was generated with four images from NASA: landmass, satellite, elevation, and vegetation maps using a custom python script incorporating codewarrior’s pymclevel python library.

Same place you put your save files.

However,

You must replace the level.dat in the 'earth' folder with one from the 'spawnPoints' folder otherwise you will start in the ocean and WILL NOT respawn after death.

Or for a server, just put it in the server's folder and change the world name in the properties file to: earth

I just played the world map on singleplayer.  It's incredibly huge.  3.2GB huge, and the chunks being loaded would just eat up the server.

If there is some condensed form of it, then I'd gladly host it, but this is just huge and I don't think a regular computer, not even mine could handle it.

I can host it, I got a server running with 6Gb and Fast internet speeds, since its a huge file, its taking a while for it to compile, so be patient and I will upload the links momentarly
