Everyone has different tastes. Some people are miners, some people are cave explorers, some people are farmers, some people are builders, and others are fighters, and of course there are many more things you can be. You just have to find your best activity.

The center of my base is a huge automatic farm that harvests sugarcane, cactus, and wheat. Then in the retrieval room there's minecart tracks leading to my bedrock storage units. I get all my harvest, plant it all, then send all the leftovers down the tracks to the storage units via minecart w/ chest.

Pretty lovey if I do say so myself.

Cacti are harvested by having a block adjacent to the area above the cactus, so when a new cactus block grows, it will break and fall into the water.
