I'm beginning my search for wolves, starting with creating a forest area where they will hopefully spawn. Any ideas on what I should add to it? I've got a nearby lake and several trees, all trimmed to where there is 3 air spaces beneath the leaves.

I think you have to be in a real forest biome for them to spawn.

They are rare.

I went out searching for a forest, I found one, but no luck with the wolves. I'll try lightening my artificial forest to light level 7, since that's what the Minecraft wiki said they spawn in. I also expanded my forest and added some flowers :D
