There's no lag at all. You're computer obviously sucks. My laptop is bad. I bought it in 2009-ish, and it runs Vista. But the server lags a tiny bit for me.

It's network lag. I have excellent FPS, but my chat takes almost 30 seconds to go through.

How do I make Minecraft as low quality as possible? Is there more than using Fast graphics and using a Tiny render distance? I want to play but this piece of stuff can't handle the simplest of tasks

Try turning OPENGL on. And FPS to Powersaver.

Anyways open task manager, right click the minecraft thing, click go to process, right click the process, click set priority, then set it high or above normal.
(Avoid using realtime for any program, bad things can happen.)

Well, I'm alone again. Squideey left, Plad left for no reason when we were in the middle of building a new little village, and I got some progress by building a little house so I could be safe from Creepers and stuff. Anyway, if anyone wants to come..
