Minecraft should have the water cycle in it. That way we can have rivers, then we can make dams, we could power our homes, build civilizations, create economies, enroll societies, manage cities.

The logic is that the elevator runs on a Pulley block, and the mechanical power from the windmill spinning holds the rope up. With that power cut, the pulley lets the rope down. It makes it easy to run though because all you need is a switch that flips the gearbox on and off.
