You can, my cousin's computer doesn't like the downloadable client for whatever reason so he has to use the browser game, and I've seen him use texture packs

Also, would it be safe to delete my .minecraft folder to reinstall? There's a bunch of files from other mods that I don't have anymore, and I wanna get rid of them but there's too many to do by hand. I'll be sure to back up my worlds and stuff.
