If you want beef you will have to kill the cow differently from slashing it and punching it multiple times. You will have to cut the head off and let it bleed out. They you want to tenderize the beef, and cook it.

or it could just be that you kill a cow to get beef then you have to skin the carcass which remains there for a period of time.
