How did you kill the sun god as a first boss?

I just made a "city" arena for the claymen mod

features piston mechanics, 1 blue base, 1 red base, and 2 "caves" (basically bases). Claymen cannot climb ladders, right?

I killed gold before any of the other bosses...
Just have enough ambrosia and armor to kill him and he's actually pretty simple.

I gave up on the aether though, back to normalcraft for me. I just don't like mods... at all.
