Oh, I was thinking of blocking the entrance from land.

Anyways my reed farm now had 54 dirt blocks with reeds growing on them, I get 108 per harvest. Will post pictures later.

You plant up and down your coasts and you'll make more then that. I remember that's how my cities agriculture started, just like ancient peoples!

i like all my farms to be underground, plus there will be glowstone lights on the ceiling that can be "turned on and off"
