I can't figure out how to make a decent mob farm so I just made a stuff ton of bread with the bones I had, grabbed iron armor and my iron sword and just wait for them to spawn.

Exactly.

This is my "farm" now.  I just sit with my sword and wait for them to fall in this hole.  Because they fire arrows from their heads (lol notch), they can't hit me since the hole is the perfect fit for the player.  I sit here, they walk in and die by sword.

ARROWS LIKE A BOSS.  forget flint/stick/feathers.
