Someone put on Yahoo Answers a workaround until they fix directly uploading skins. Go to http://www.minecraftskins.com/ and upload your skin, then click the third button on it and Minecraft's site will ask if you want to use it. Works great. Although I'm using an Enderman skin until I can think of one... Obviously there's Amnesia ones, should have thought of that before considering making one.

Edit: Alternatively, upload your skin anywhere and then put the direct link to it at the end of this URL: http://www.minecraft.net/profile/skin/remote?url=

You can also cut down the stems too, if I remember correctly a full-grown stem yields two seeds.

You could multiply this process multiple times until you have a hugeass melon farm
