They're in the strongholds I think. Not sure if they always spawn in one though.

I'm in a Stronghold right now, and I don't see anything. I'm pretty sure I've searched all over, but it's a pretty massive place

They don't always appear in Strongholds.

The ground is some weird sand stuff and there's obsidian towers all over
