Anyone know how to edit the temperature of chunks/biomes?

My old flat-map that I've been saving to make a city in for some reason is now a snow-biome in 1.9, making the grass a sickly green color and the rivers freeze over which looks even worse.

Uhh, if I remember correctly, in 1.9 all biomes except for deserts are snow biomes because it's coded to have universal snowfall.
And torches and glowstone melt stuff so try setting some of that around to thaw it out.

In 1.8 it was a decent green color, non-tundra looking.  Like, jungle green.  Now it's tundra green and ice freezes it over in 1.9 :(

I'll probably end up doing that, lightstone errywhere.  It just annoys me though even without it.
