I haven't played this game for more than 10 minutes at a time since 1.7.3 was released. I also have no plans of updating from 1.8.1.

I've beaten all of the maps in the series except for Nightmare realm.
That one is still giving me stuff.

new things i've found, first time playing since 1.8

swamps (i think these are in 1.8 though)

mushroom cows and mushroom biomes

working exp and leveling system

lily pads

tons of more acheivements

pressing f5 twice lets you look at your character from the front

water looks better

new sounds for being hurt

it seems like mobs spawn closer to you

pie chart thing on f3

The door sound is kinda painful.

But at least it doesn't use AIM log-on/log-off noises anymore

The good thing about Minecraft is when it dies, we can still host multiplayer servers because there is no master server.
