Question: is there any particular strategies to easily find a stronghold?

Kill endermen, craft ender eyes out of their pearls, toss them into the air and walk in the general direction they fly in.

Not necessarily easy since you'll probably have to kill plenty of endermen but it's easier than just looking anywhere underground.

ive been walking for what seems like hours. now my eyes go forward, i go to where they land, throw another, this one goes back where i was. the keep volleying back and forth i dont know where to go. If dug up like 900 blocks of dirt and stone. I give up now.
