After translating, he's basically saying Villagers won't wander from Villages in the next update. Good news. Wonder how this works with Spawn Eggs?

Wanders to the nearest village

Anyone know a good basic survival server without any huge fancy buildings?

I built a cool town in Creative and populated it with villagers, I don't want them to wander off. :c

it doesnt work like that, or else the game will have to check if you're making a village for every block you place/break

and that would cause lag

and memory clogs

im going to be at school

But you CAN get villagers to move into a player-built house. Videos demonstrating the AI proved that. Placing a bed inside the house appears to help.

"
Maximum build height has been increased to 256 (was 128)
Empty sections of the world are not loaded into memory
Block ids have been increased to 4096 (was 256) by adding a 4 bit data layer (similar to how meta data is stored)
Block ordering have been changed from x/z/y to y/z/x in order to improve compression
Packets for sending chunks have been updated (a full 128-high chunk is smaller than the old format, and a chunk with lots of empty space is much smaller)
Biomes are saved per x/z column, which means they can be altered by tools"

Sweet

Don't they ever stop? The entirety of the Minecraft playerbase is going to have gone from bored a month ago to wondering what to do now that be have everything we ever wanted.

Provided the 256 height doesn't mess up my computer any more than 128 does, this will be brilliant. Time to jump off some legitimate uber-high cliffs?
