This is a test of the layout of a palace-fortress-thing I'm planning.

The three points on the sides will be six blocks high, and will serve as bastions for the fort. The dome in the center will act as a foyer and will be on top of a five-block-high circular wall, while the rest of the palace will be underground. The wall around the structure will be four blocks high, lined with cactus.
As for the rounded square around the dome, those will be a part of the bastions.
The ring of glass on the dome will act as a "clock" per se, as the player can stand beneath the center and view the position of the sun above his head, as well as the phase of the moon. This ring will also provide much of the light for the foyer. Debating putting other skylights in the dome for added light.


Note: This is just a test of several concepts I dreamed up one time. Construction of the proper fort will be in our school Game Club's SMP server, which will likely open soon.
