i hope you know that minecraft is literally being made by only 3 people as of late that actually HAVE SOCIAL LIVES

stop complaining that your world with your giant golden richard on it is lagging and that you cant install your bondage mods

if you don't like how the game plays in 1.3.1, then

"you paid but it sucks now too bad go stop playing you paid for nothing no refunds"

I'm still playing a 1.2.5 build i had saved. if they have the time to make zombies wear armor and add more redstone crap, they should have the time to make their game run properly. Don't give me any of that "they are doing other stuff" bullstuff, the only thing they are doing is adding little features no one needs.

No excuses, it's called balancing time and making plans you loving scrub.

I see at least 3 places for optimization just by staring blindly at SSP. Instead of loading the chunks from a localhost (127.0.0.1) server, why not the hard drive? This would not only make invisible chunks disappear, it would also decrease loading time substantially for the host client, most especially since networking in Minecraft is horrid.

Yeah, I'd rather play a game I spent money on, thank you very much.

add another

the more the better

I want to have it like some Indiana Jones stuff

Oh boy, today I'm going to finally play some Minecraft and enjoy the new up-!

god this is bullstuff.  I have to stop and wait like every few seconds if I'm sprinting because the loving game doesn't load chunks fast enough.  I'm running the game off my SSD how long can this stuff take.

This is ridiculous.  I'm sticking with 1.2.5 until they fix chunk loading.  I know they made the change of making singleplayer like a multiplayer server for a reason but this is just wasting my time.

inb4 "omg luddite", this update blows and you know it.

inb4 "get a better computer", I'm running on a better computer than most of you.
Yeah. I'd have to concur with Nick, this update has loving ruined single player. It's like I'm connecting through localhost with Minecraft's horrible networking, it's taking twice the resources it should be taking, and I'm forced to load chunks from this gay ass listen server instead of my hard drive. Development has gone down the drain since 1.7, and this just takes the cake. If you're going to make the client be able to host, either take the chunks from the hard drive instead of taking them from a loving localhost server (which would be at least 12x faster because of minecraft's loving horrible network backbone,) or fix networking.
MEANWHILE, AT MOJANG HQ
"should we make a modding API that helps with the creation and implementation of mods?"

"NOT NOW, WE'RE TRYING TO MERGE SINGLE PLAYER WITH THE AMAZING OPTIMIZATION OF MULTIPLAYER!"

seriously, what the forget are they doing? I get the whole merge was to make modmaking easier, but that still doesn't change the fact that you require clientside and server side to have the mod, nor does it fix ANY of the existing issues with multiplayer or single player. chunks load slower than ever, i can be running a solid 25 fps while running into an area without a loaded chunk and just glitch fall into the void until it loads. They made ssp a stuff pile and what did they give us in return? Writable books and a loving tripwire system.
Enderchests are going to forget up factions, seeing as every person has their own cloud. someone could take all the diamonds and store them in the chest to steal them from the faction easily or prevent them from ever possible being stolen. They are good for rpg-esque banks where you can store items, though
Well, single player is forgeted for me.
Oh boy, mob armor and villagers.  As exciting as those features sound, after playing 1.3.1 they shouldn't be doing anything but optimizing.  In fact I wouldn't have released 1.3.1 at all if I were them.  This is garbage.

never mind...
