tekkit launcher uses your .jar, tekkit isn't updated to work with 1.3.1. if you're updated to 1.3.1 you need to downgrade to 1.2.5

it's the same as 1.2.5 in all ways.

Tekkit uses it's own jar files. When i launch tekkit, its 1.2.5.

When i launch vanilla, its 1.3.1

you still have to authenticate with the mojang servers
