Its not like you NEED A TEXTURE PACK or you will die a slow and painful death.

All they have to do is make colorable areas gray and then bam

it'll color the entire texture regardless of whether or not it's a shade of gray. if part of a texture is red and someone makes their armor blue, that part will turn purple (i think? or magenta, however color blending works.)

though when you think about it it's not that much of a problem, a similar thing happens in games like super smash brothers with multiple people as the same person.

besides, texture packs are superior to vanilla, no matter what it is

the overlay i'd imagine is transparent, so you'll never be able to color it so much that everything on the texture will become completely blue.

if you apply a blue filter to a blue and white picture, you see more blue. i still think they need to do that thing they did for the potions, that way you can match up where you want the colors to go.

the only reason i've played this game for so long is because of texture packs and SMP.
