Jeb specifically doesn't want emeralds to be made into equipment. He just wanted to add a currency item, and crafting your own money wouldn't feel right. Factoring a whole new tier of equipment would also be more trouble than it's worth for something that already has a main intended purpose.

I had to make the understanding after he said No to requests several times. I'd love green armor, honestly. Green is my favorite color. But at this point this is his game, and we go by him. As much as we'd want to run how the game progresses, we can't keep the same overall feel as a select group.

This is kind of related to Minecraft, since I'm trying to get a mod. To download and compile the latest version (test) of Buildcraft, I need to download this. I'm sure you need to use an SVN program to download it, but I get an error when I go to the checkout for Tortoise.
