Can anyone set up a minecraft server with the latest snapshot? MC is boring without friends.

In terms of no reason to add sand worms.
Deserts are bland and i see no reason why it has the same mobs as a forest or ice biome. IMO there should be different mobs in different biomes.

Because a random structure adds something other than free loot to an environment.

A structure with the same layout, at that. They're too easy because if you know where to dig you can disable all the traps and get the loot without doing stupid lever puzzles.

Pretty much.  I found a jungle temple and just went ahead and dug around the levers.

Can someone explain to me why setting up a server in Minecraft can't be done as easily as in Blockland?
Or can it be, and have I just been under a rock?

It can be.  You only need to forward one port for Minecraft, however Minecraft servers take up MUCH MORE resources than a Blockland server would.

a minecraft server is the equivalent to a blockland dedicated server.

I've gotten a pretty chill island chain seed for Better World Generator.

I've tested this with 1.2.5, not sure if it'll work with later versions. Anyway, install that and use this seed for the default generation (which isn't vanilla, it's also updated)
