it's easier to make mods now because everything's server-oriented

you don't need to make two separate versions :Y

for me the "server lag" is perfectly bearable, especially since it's a local server and you can't really get any faster than that. of course the game probably handles server requests slower than it should but that's just the small price for a better modding future.

actually no, it was a neat mod, i just feel that it was overhyped beyond belief.

nobody ever told me if ^this worked

if it gives an error saying you need forge or something that's fine, i just need to know if you can actually reach the server.

I tried to connect about five minutes after you posted the IP but it gave me a connection timeout error. Tried again just now and got the same error.
