anvils are stuff and enchanting is stuff and exp is stuff and everything that has to do with levels in this game is stuff

Although i do agree the level systems are pretty bad, the alternative would be some kind of resource, most likely an ore. it would be much more of a pain in the ass to have to dig around for a finite ore when now we can just kill mobs or mine for levels.

prison servers are absolutely terrible and anyone who runs, enjoys, or funds one are spergs who have nothing better to do with their lives than hold down the mouse button to get virtual money

lapis/redstone is easier to get, you break one ore and you get 4-5, it's just slightly rarer than coal and you have to go deeper
