minecraft is only an RPG if you make it an RPG, minecraft is what you make of it. that is what a sandbox game is, right? potions, levels, enchantments, and other additions aren't required for you to use. you don't have to make yourself an enchanting table, you don't have to fight the final boss. if you want minecraft to be a survival game, play it as a survival game. if that's not enough, there are plenty of mods available that allow you to fully customize your experience the way you want it.
