I personally think the general idea of custom maps is ubsurd and stupid. Very few custom maps are actually good. Feed the Beast is pretty much the only good custom map I can think of off the top of my head.

I like Feed The Beast (Magic World) over Tekkit because I don't understand all that hightech complicated machinery stuff.
