I'm doing terribly luck-wise in my current world. Usually I hit diamonds within the first 3 minutes of hitting level 12, but I've got a mine with about 8 fairly long strips and have a total of maybe 10 diamonds, a few of which I only have because of my Fortune pick. Fortunately Tinkers' Construct allows me to make good tools without diamonds.

In my current world I found a fortune II book in a dungeon.

All the diamonds and redstone. :D

If you ever start a big dye project which requires lots of red and yellow, you set up a dispenser with a water bucket and get lots of bonemeal. Bonemeal, dispenser on twice. Repeat.

so bonemeal grass then use dispenser with water in it to flood the the flowers? if so thats a waste of time. just make a big dark space with grass and keep using bone meal on the ground. it plants the stuff then it pops up because of no sun.

I did this on Tekkit and it all went into an energy dondenser and got turned back into bone meal.
The left overs went into a condenser for diamonds.

Very informative. So Giants are actually taken into account to spawn, but their conditions are impossible so it can't happen.
