Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6711731 times)

It be a cool enchant though or have an enchant which allows faster an deeper horse swimming, just like how respiration allows you to breath under water longer and makes under water vision more clear.
I just don't like BoP since it lags me like stuff and certain biomes like that mesa like biome, is there an option to disable them in the generation? Since I forgot.
Oh, there's a lot you can modify in the config files of BoP.

now next year the wii u :^)

Or have a baked shadow system and the player made shadows and lights are dynamic? Or just leave it be unloaded and be fine.
1. Impractical, Notch has already said he didn't like how dynamic lighting looked. That and a lot of people would llag like forget. 2. No it wouldn't be, mushrooms would be uprooted on block updates, mobs wouldn't spawn properly, crops would grow when they really shouldn't, and all in all hell would break loose (lol)

Beta 1.7.3 didn't have spammed tall grass and it still looked good even though the whole biomes system wasn't implanted. I'd also have a herbicide for grass and mycelium since it is a pain to get rid of each other.
That would actually be legit. Herbicide to remove grass from a dirt block, or possibly a lasting version to make dirt which does not grow grass.

Horses cannot swim when people are riding them. How is this ridiculous?

BoP does have a lag problem as a result of a bug in the modified world gen code. And hell yes, you can disable any or all BoP biomes, adjust whether or not it tweaks default biomes, set which BoP biomes can spawn villages, and generally change up a LOT of stuff. Since I forgot. Also isn't that twilight forest mod a dimension mod? I like those mods which stick to vanilla or don't heavily modify the game. It is but that's sort of the point with it. Mods sticking to vanilla, what? And ok so you don't like overhaul mods but you like official overhauls?

bb code is a bitch so I won't be using stuff like quotes.

I thought the lights right now were dynamic? Since glowstone creats light, enclosing a room makes it dark without having to reset the maps lighting mission like you used to have to do in blockland.

I just need a herbicide for mycelium since using cobble stone would chew threw pickaxes and using sand would cause me to accidently dig the terrain.

Horse's can swim in 1 block and 2 block deep ponds as slow as a player maybe a horse boat called a horse trolling (haha little joke ;).

From what I remember I was having random 5 fps spikes from BoP I can't remember any other mod that adds more biomes and was similar to that name that could've caused the lag for me.

I'll check out BoP again though.

My point about mods was the graphics style and that jazz. Look at certain blockland mods for example demains basic brick pack has only cuboid bricks though. But they have brick icons very similar to the default icon, so it doesn't look like a sloppy mess like other icons tend to do.

If over haul mods are done right I'll like them I just picky, ftb is too resource heavy and seems annoying to use. Tfc has weird dull colors and is very hard I heard but I'll try it out for the difficulty.

And I have a old 2001 dell so I don't know how fast it could run with SSP and optifine.

To be fair, I understand nothing about the complexity of programming that is Minecraft as a whole, but couldn't the game detect what block the player with a hand-held light was on and render the lighting from there? Would there have to be too many updates to keep on detecting player motion through a world, especially a 3D one?

Unless they are poor and can only afford a mobile phone yeah.
I'm glad the PS Vita version is separate from Pocket Edition, though! That's good news.

Already been attempted, and it's slow as forget.

i always play pocket edition

I just found out today that my favorite story-teller/artist released a survival map (and I use the word "map" very loosely) at the beginning of this year called Sky Den, has anyone ever played it? It's sort of like Skyblock on steroids; it requires several mods to play and revolves around a group of NPCs and the quests they give you in a building called the Sky Den, floating among a few other tiny islands in the sky over the void

It's not exactly a simple "download and play" type of thing because of the mods required but I've been playing for a few hours now and it's fun as hell, definitely something to try out if you want something to do
