Okay guys I really need help again.
I've gotten the itch to build a house that looks "magical", since I havent really seen anything like that. Well I'm working on it right now and I need opinions. Its hard working with this colour scheme, what should I add/remove?

Should probably add some torches, and make a wood floor. Might I suggest a checkered birch-oak plank floor pattern?

Challenge accepted!

... And it looks stuffty. Just like everything in the default texture pack.

It looks like it's wearing a giant granny bra. :cookieMonster:

But, Amerax, the texture pack you're using looks pure horrible... i only use default textures, because I can never find a texture pack that doesn't look like medieval god took a horrible diarrhea.

Really? I cant stand the default texture pack, it gives me headaches and looks absolutely horrible.

I usually alternate between John Smith, Conquest, and Doku, depending on what im doing.

I can't understand hating the default resource/texture pack because, as default, it is what at least 25-50% of the community would see if shown anything ingame. It's something you have to put up with, so I'd rather not base my designs off a texture pack which completely changes the feel of the textures unless it is based on a map relying on it.

Should I keep my name that my dad made up or should I change it? (aka buy again)

Can't you change your name without buying MC again in 1.6?

They are slowly migrating Minecraft accounts to global Mojang accounts, which will allow for name changing without repurchase. So far in the snapshots, they've apparently added the first steps to unique identifiers on people without using the static name. Once they have this fully implemented, you will be able to change your name on the account,

While I would agree with you in any other game, I just can't for Minecraft. I seriously can't play minecraft in default, I don't know why, but it gives me pretty bad headaches. And while I agree that most the people who play minecraft play in default, I don't cater towards those people because I don't build for them.

Maybe if I was creating a spawn for a server I would suck it up and build in default, but because what I build in my single player worlds are only meant to be seen by myself on a texture pack of my choosing, I tend not to use default.
