these are my specs, this is supposed to be a laptop mainly for working, but i want to play minecraft because ever since i bought it i could never play it happily because i lag

i have to change my fog to tiny, where i can't even see clouds
i have to turn smooth lighting off
i have to set graphics to fast and all that stuff
not even optifine works that well

does anyone know anything that works?
i'm getting an actual computer of my choice for my birthday so i can always wait for that, but aaa i wanna play minecraft now

First of all, that CPU is poop. Second of all, what's your graphics card?

i think it's Intel HD or something like that

Get optifine and turn on these things.
1. advanced opengl fast
2. smooth fps
3. fast math (possibly)

After that just tinker around and see if you can find any more helpful options.

minecraft lag in my experience is weird
sometimes i'll have 2fps and other times i'll have 30fps without changing settings
