I just got Spore and it is really awesome. I love the creator because, with the whole TAB button secret, you can make really in-depth builds. The TAB button, held down when clicking ona part of your creation, enables extra handles to rotate the object with. Post your creations, achievements you have, cool things you have built/found, techniques, etc. etc..

Not to mention the drm.  If I install it again since my computer was wiped out after I installed Spore, I'm going to install a pirated version, even though I have a copy, just to get past the whole install secret software that cripples computers thing.

Yeah, spore has such a good backing, if it weren't for all its scientific aspects being ripped out, it would be such a great game.

Spore was both really bad and okay at the same time.

Mainly it was really bad because EA ripped out the originally planned content for it, such as blood and seamless game changing, as well as other fun stages. They had a lot cooler stuff back then.
Then all of a sudden we get this dumbed down child's version of it, just so it can appeal to a 4 year old who will be wowed at all the stupid looking flower creatures maxis made.

But then again it had some pretty good graphics, and the whole idea of evolution and traveling to other planets and such was fun.


In short, great idea but executed terribly in the end.

i was very disappointed by all the part collecting and stat building you do, meant nothing in the next stage.
and in space stage you couldn't play the rts game anymore.

if they hadnt made it into 4 different games, and integrated all parts into one, it would have been so much better

Something i don't understand, In the expantion can i still walk around on the planets normally or am i FORCED to do a mission?

i wanna go down and beat stuff up :(
