Sure the new AI Director 2 is going to be cooler, but come on that's all that will be good. Melee's will become OP and immediately decline with this bullstuff fatigue, and no matter how many times you actually aim properly as infected you won't grab them with your tongue/vomit on them/pounce them.

I will not buy L4D2 unless they get their stuff straight and release it as a pay-to-download expansion off steam. I mean come on, we should actually be getting this stuff for free.

That being said, I think it's too much content to be released as a free update, but not enough to be released as a retail game.

They aren't dropping development for L4D, and you're going to bankrupt Valve, cut that stuff out. God I hate you forgeters. The whole "Boycott" thing pisses me off. The lack of trust in Valve is discerningly huge, and what do you think it's going to do? Waste their time, money, and resources. It's not going to do anything but postpone production on anything else they're working on because NOW they have to deal with cutting their losses. You people don't think stuff through.

Why boycott the game for a free expansion if they are already disapointed in the content that was in it? They probably wouldn't play it anyway.

I can't see how valve will abandon the concept now because of a single boycott group.

I think L4D2 should be an expantion with a new engine for L4D1 for PC. The 360 version should be a stand-alone game with all the parts of L4D1 in it (Or at least the option to have DC for L4D1 levels/charaters/etc.).
