Author Topic: Spore error help.  (Read 5726 times)

I have Vista Home, i tried to install spore and there was no shorcut. It was no problem i just started it up manually. As soon as it starts:Game can't be played. Error not found: GL:5626

Now I really want to play spore on new computer but i have used google and found no answers other then: undownload creature-creator(don't have), and contact EA support(I don't think that will help at all.). If it helps I had to use another for registration key because i had it on last computer and lost the manual.

So please help if at all possible.

Contact EA Support, it should be a free call and if you just tell them the problem they might be able to help.

Spore sucks anyways.

Even after googling no luck, but could be a problem with your license key/serial key.

Try reinstalling and contacting EA support.
It takes a while for them to reply but they eventually do reply and they can/will help.

Oh god you have no idea what you're talking about.
Not even getting started with you.

Uh, would you mind posting your system specs?
Did you also know there's a spore forum, on EA's site? They can probably help you there.

I'm trying as hard as I can to not derail but the game is pretty repetitive and boring eventually. It's not bad, it's just one of those you play every few months or so. The space graphics are very lovely, though.

So yes, please post your system specs and yes, there is a help forum on the Sporums, but I didn't get much help for my C&C pack problem.

I did a little digging and this error message Not Found: GL: 5626 is usually a combination of a corrupted install and server licensing error. This may be associated with installing Spore on top of Creature Creator--Creature Creator is supposed to be uninstalled prior to installing Spore.

I didn't see much on this error in our Forum however there is some mention of it in the UK forum.

A few possible fixes:

# Try right clicking the Spore icon and Run as Administrator (for Vista users)

# Please try manually uninstalling Creature Creator--which is different than using control panel so please do click the link and follow the directions as indicated.
