Author Topic: Gmod Port Forwarding.  (Read 1985 times)

I have some awsome ideas for Gmod servers but I need to be able to host. I have a westell versalink model 327w. I tried forwarding every port I could find via google but it still doesn't work. Do I only have to port forward or is there other things involved?

I have always had trouble hosting valve games also, the server never responds, though I get gmod to host fine.
I think you have to host the following:
Steam Client: 27020 - 27050 TCP & UDP
Steam Server: 27015 TCP

Ports you forwarded?

Still did not work.

I generally wouldn't get your hopes up too high.

I did pretty much forwarded every possible Steam port, and unblocked my firewall.

The server was not listed on the master server, no matter what I did. Meanwhile, I could be hosting a Blockland server.

I THINK - I READ THIS SOMEWHERE

There is a special console command you have to use to get it to show up in the master server list, otherwise people have to connect via IP

I can always host on valves games, As long as somebody joins via ip first

enter heartbeat and sv_lan 0
Still didn't do anything. To allow Gmod through my firewall, what must I enable? What application is gmod? Like, where is it located?

People are able to join but when I ask people to join, they cannot connect. Why is this?
