Author Topic: Jupiter hit by earth-sized object  (Read 5766 times)

The asteroid would be 1138.060659234599675488166508 1407km scaled on Earth. There are 1.6093 kilometeres in a mile, so we divide by 1.6093.

Still wrong.

If that object hit earth, it would definitely screw up our orbit with the sun.
that would be quite messy now if you excuse me i need to get my pills PILLS HERE!!!!

i JUST saw this on yahoo before i came onto the forums

And i didn't because i was playing oblivion.

Who's the daddy now?

If you're not going to post something useful to this thread, don't post something stupid.

The size of the damn hole is not what matters. the mass, density, speed, and angle of entry is what matters to make the hole. apparently, it had just enough to make that big of a hole.

Actually that red spot in Jupiter is about the size of 3 earth diameters.

-MAJORAS MASK MOON D: snip-

I guess that means Majora's Moon hit Jupiter

A group of college students looking to find new moons/planets accidentally discovered a group of asteroids that COULD be on a crash coarse for earth. But if things go bad im sure that Bruce Willis will fly up and detonate it for you.

If it made an earth sized impmact hole on Jupiter, it will make an earth sized impact hole on earth.

D:

Whats more likely, you shooting a bullet and hitting another bullet, or you shooting a bullet and hitting a basketball?

We won't get hit by one.

it's actually more likely to get hit by a larger object because it's center doesn't have to be as close for it's surface to touch us.

If that hit us... everyone in this planet would be dead, the world would brake in peaces, and we would then all be meeting each other in heaven... or hell.
