Synergy is a free mod, you need to own Hl2 (or any source game?) to run it. And you can choose your playermodel but you can't "customize" it.

Whoa, whoa, WHOA. I did NOT mod it. I just messed around with the console commands.

1. You need a Stean account
2. You need Half-Life 2
3. You need to download Synergy
4. You need to put the following file in "C:\program files\Steam\Steamapps\[YOUR ACCOUNT NAME GOES HERE]\synergy\synergy\cfg"
5. press "delete" to toggle between First- and Third-person view modes.
6. Pressing PageDown will switch to a regular third-person mode
7. Pressing End will go back to over-the-shoulder
8. Pressing "control" (you should probably rebind this to V or something, control is the default crouch button) will zoom in like "z" does, but you can shoot. press again or switch weapons to unzoom.

You NEED steam. Non-steam is not possible.

You CAN choose your player model from a selection of the Half-Life 2 citizens. There are a total of 4 Black characters (male and female), 2 Asians (male and female), and the rest are White (male and female)
