Also my family got an electronic drum set but... like the entire family uses it so... its not really a present to me...

My last birthday I asked my entire family for just money so I could buy a laptop. Because I have a very generous grandma and 8 aunts & uncles, I managed to get ~$750. I'm not bragging, seriously, don't take this that way, I'm simply saying people with a lot of immediate family members and/or a few rich relatives may get more for their birthdays than other people.

For my birthday, (which is in seven days :D) I usually get about £70* if I ask for just money, and usually just some bargain-bucket game, because my parents feel sad or me, if I only get money, and nothing to actually play with. :P

This year, I'm getting a book, and, god knows what else. Because I never ever ask for stuff for Birthdays/Christmas's. I can either never decide between a few things, or I just don't pick out anything from the entire year. If anything, I'll usually ask for a book (Usually because I've gotten hooked on that particular series) or I'll ask for a Pokemon game, if there is one coming out.
