Author Topic: Gasoline and Matches  (Read 1124 times)

(This may have been suggested before)

I was thinking that a can of gasoline and a pack of matches be made because, who doesn't like to play with virtual fire?

Anyway, you would take out a bottle of gas used for lighting lanterns and fires which you pour in any direction/pattern you choose, you may keep pouring the fuel until your bottle is empty which when it is it could act as a weapon to hit people with, then you would take the matchbox out, scrtach the match, and throw it at the gasoline laying on the ground, which will burn the gasoline for about 2 minutes before the fire flickers into smoke, and if possible, I was hoping maybe bricks or vehicles could be burned.

I think this is a great idea, but some others may not think so. Discuss.

it would only realy burn for about 10 or 15 seconds but its blockland an di think 2 mins would be usefull, good idea

1. would there be a little animation for thr match where your guy pulls out the box of matches in his left hand and a match in his right hand and scratches it?

2. would this be compatible with the firefighting mod?

Personally, I think that a Flammable spray and a Cigarette lighter would fit better.

Similar to a suggestion I made a long time ago. But mine was you carry I giant gass can around with a vehicle script, it has very little defense, so a few shotd destroys it, but the explosion is huge, meaning if you could take it into enemy territory and drop it there, then back off and shoot it, it takes them out.

This might work with matches, if the matches hit the ground they cause flames which soon hit the can and blows it up.

Someone made a Self Delete belt made for these same reasons so I think this deserves some thought. We wanna blow stuff up with fire.

IDEA!

The spray can is used to color bricks right?

I bet we can make it pour down and then after that have it like when this projectile hits any bricks that got hit will set on fire and have damage stuff thing is it will only work on Bricks So it should be possible thing is i wont be making it -.- someone else can

I'm sorry..what?

The brick gets darker a bit, idicating that it has been "gassed" then you could light it with the matches whatnot. Resulting in some fire emitter as well as doing damage when touched.

i think a lighter would be cool and with the emitter grass mayby u can set it on fire

The "darker" colour would have to be in the colorset, which might not work for all paint colours. How about having it give off "gas fumes" as an emitter?

In the way you described it I think this is all possible.

All these posts sort of match what I'm thinking.

The one sentence from him that:
A: I totally understand, and
B: Isn't at least 75% handicapped.

On topic: I kind of like the idea of the match box and match weapon, and also the spray. Maybe the match weapon could have an animation where, when you click, it swipes the match on the box (<-- Duh, that was kind of obvious. Stupid me.)? Also, possibly after you click, it constantly sends invisible projectiles so you only have to get near a "sprayed" brick to light it?
