You are all fans of Fallout games, right? And you are also a fan of playing games online with others, right?
Well now you can do BOTH!
In a new game coming out for the PC, we will be able to explore a new, custom wasteland and proceed with a main quest playing online.
We do not know if it's online-only, or capable of modding. We do know, however, that you can host your own servers, and add expansion packs that may come out for it to your server. It's alot like Burnout Paradise with the DLC. If they don't have it, then nothing will be there, or they can see it but not access it. This project was started not too long ago, and has been confirmed to come out sometime before New Years 2011. For more information, visit: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Online

It's supposed to be a brand new Story mode. However, their keeping that Fallout 3 aspect of the game. There are rumors of a multiplayer mod released for Fallout 3 itself in Alpha.
Project V13 will take place in more than one state. For example, Fallout 3 took place in "The Capital Wasteland." AKA The Capital, the size of one average state.
It is said to contain the ruins of New York, hence the concept art. Vehicles are rumored, but I doubt they will be in there, the mass destruction.

When I read this I thought of blockland

Why do you guys call it "story mode" when it's the only mode?

As of June 2009, Interplay has lost the rights to the production of a Fallout MMORPG, and the project has likely been delayed or canceled.

HURR

It's not even been offically announced, So you just made all of:

Refute - tr.v., -fut·ed, -fut·ing, -futes.
To prove to be false or erroneous; overthrow by argument or proof: refute testimony.
To deny the accuracy or truth of: refuted the results of the poll.

Thus the information about losing rights is false.

On July 15, 2009 Interplay's Project V13 developer Chris Taylor posted a reply on the Interplay website "Project V13" Forum thread refuting the claims that Interplay lost the rights to the Fallout MMORPG.

I hope it has vehicles, though. I don't see how they were shoved in to Fallout Tactics and not Fallout 3. I also hope it has plenty of weapons.

Star Trek Online will be out by that point, so I doubt I'll be spending my money on anything else. Might try that Grandia online if it ever comes out this summer. Something to pass the time by, I suppose.

Masthead and Interplay?

anyways,this sounds cool.

Nice, but still, Interplay didn't go bankrupt, and didn't lose the rights.
